Plants At Work - 2
A typical example demonstrating of the use of plants in hotels
Hotels throughout the UK, Europe and around the world
use plants as a differentiating design element in order to create a positive
image, retain customer loyalty, improve customer retention, and increase
occupancy rate. There will also be an increase in the rate of additional revenue
generated from visitors & guests using the whole range of hotel facilities.
Such a comfortable environment, in a relaxing & welcoming atmosphere is
conducive to enhancing retail therapy. Plants can also assist in uplifting
profile, endorsing brand image and making venues more expensive looking.
Although interior plants have played a decorative role
in public rooms for well over 100 years, by comparison, a much newer
consideration is that apart from the aesthetic enrichment, plants could also
have further uses. Studies show that room climate, room acoustics and
psychological effects plants can play a role in improving conditions for people
working in business, studying in schools or colleges as well as recreation and
leisure venues.
Research has shown profound improvement in cognitive
ability and concentration through the effects of using plants in our working
environment. Recreational areas, in which people sit and relax, can trigger
imagination and inspire creativity.
